Video trimmer

VIDEO → TRIMMED CLIP

Cuts your video to a start–end range by copying the existing video data rather than re-encoding it, so it's fast and there's no quality loss. Because this requires real video processing, it runs on our server rather than in your browser tab.

Drag a video file here, or click to browse
Accepts .mp4,.mov,.mkv,.avi,.webm,.flv · up to 50MB, one file at a time
Files are uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted from the server immediately afterward. Nothing is kept or shared.

How this tool works

Video processing can't run in a browser tab the way simple audio conversion can, so this tool uses a secure server step: your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection, trimmed, sent back for download, and deleted immediately — it's never stored, logged, or used for anything else.

The Video Trimmer

Cuts MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, or WEBM video down to a start–end range you choose, keeping the same format and quality.

> how it works ... uploaded, trimmed, and deleted immediately
> what we keep ... nothing — files are removed right after processing
> supported ...... mp4/mov/mkv/avi/webm → trimmed clip

Why cuts snap to the nearest keyframe

This tool trims by copying your video's existing encoded data rather than decoding and re-encoding the whole thing, which keeps it fast and lossless. The trade-off is that a cut can only start exactly at a keyframe already present in your file, so the actual start point may land a fraction of a second before or after what you typed — usually barely noticeable, and it becomes more noticeable only on files with unusually sparse keyframes.

Why this needs a server step

Cutting a video's encoded stream at a precise time requires real video processing that browsers can't do reliably across all these formats. So this tool briefly uploads your file to our server, processes it, and deletes it immediately after — the same secure pattern used by Quikbench's other server-side converters.
