1. How file conversion works on this site

Quikbench's image, audio, PDF, and Word conversion tools run entirely inside your web browser. When you select or drop a file into a tool, it is read and processed locally on your device using your browser's built-in capabilities (such as Canvas and the Web Audio API) and small JavaScript libraries that run on your device to build PDF, DOCX, and ZIP files, and to read text out of Word and PDF documents. At no point is your file transmitted to, stored on, or processed by any server we operate. We have no access to the files you convert, and we do not retain any copy of them.

2. How our calculators and social media tools work

Quikbench also offers a set of financial calculators (including SIP, EMI, loan, retirement, compound interest, and GST/VAT calculators for India, the UK, and Australia) and social media tools (including YouTube earnings, CPM, watch time, and subscriber goal calculators, and Instagram engagement and follower growth calculators). These tools work the same way as our file converters: any numbers, handles, or other details you type in are processed instantly in your browser using JavaScript and are never sent to, stored on, or seen by any server we operate. Closing or refreshing the page clears whatever you entered.

3. How the Hindi and Punjabi typing tools work

Unlike the tools described above, the Hindi Typing Tool and Punjabi Typing Tool send each word you type to Google's transliteration service to convert it into Devanagari or Gurmukhi script. This means the text you type into these two tools is transmitted to Google, and Google's own privacy policy governs how that data is handled. If Google's service is ever unreachable, these tools automatically fall back to a local, offline phonetic engine that runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. We recommend avoiding these two tools for sensitive or confidential text.

4. Information we may collect

Like most websites, we may use standard web analytics or advertising services (such as Google AdSense) which can collect limited technical information automatically, such as:

• Browser type and version
• General device/operating system information
• Approximate location (derived from IP address, not precise location)
• Pages visited and time spent on the site

This information is used in aggregate to understand site usage and is not linked to the actual files you convert, since those files never reach our servers in the first place.

5. Cookies and advertising

We may use cookies for analytics and to serve advertising through third-party providers such as Google AdSense. These providers may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or by using your browser's cookie controls.

6. Third-party services

This site loads small JavaScript components from a third-party content delivery network to power certain tools in your browser, such as MP3 encoding, PDF building, .zip and .docx assembly, and .docx/.pdf text reading. Loading these resources may expose your IP address to that network in the same way loading any external script or image would. No file content is sent through any of these components — they all run locally in your browser to perform their respective tasks.

7. Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
