About Quikbench
Quikbench is a small set of file conversion tools — image format conversion (JPG, PNG, WEBP), audio format conversion (WAV, MP3), image-to-PDF conversion, and formatting-preserving Word-to-PDF and PDF-to-Word converters — built to do one thing well: convert files without ever sending them to a server.
> what we receive nothing — files never leave your device
> cost to you ..... free to use
Supported conversions
Images: JPG ⇄ PNG, JPG ⇄ WEBP, and PNG ⇄ WEBP, in either direction. Audio: WAV ⇄ MP3, in either direction. Images can also be combined into a single PDF. Word documents (.docx) and PDFs can be converted into each other, though that particular conversion carries text-only limits — see below.
Why local conversion
Most online converters work by uploading your file to a remote server, processing it there, and sending the result back. That means your file — even temporarily — exists on someone else's machine. Quikbench works differently: every conversion happens directly inside your browser tab using built-in browser technology (Canvas for images, the Web Audio API for audio, and a PDF-building library for the PDF tool). Your file is read, converted, and turned into a downloadable result entirely on your own device.
Who this is for
Anyone who wants a quick format conversion without creating an account, without waiting on an upload progress bar, and without wondering where their file ends up afterward. This is particularly useful for sensitive files, client work, or just a general preference for not handing files over to unfamiliar servers.
The PDF converter
Drop in one image to get a single-page PDF, or drop in several to combine them into one multi-page PDF — pages are added in the order you queue the files. You can choose a page size (fit-to-image, A4, or US Letter), an orientation, and a margin before building the document. Like the other tools here, the PDF is assembled entirely in your browser and is never uploaded anywhere.
The Word to PDF and PDF to Word converters
These tools convert a .docx file into a PDF, or a PDF into a .docx file, entirely in your browser — each direction has its own dedicated page. It preserves headings, bold/italic/underline formatting, lists, tables, and embedded images when rebuilding your document in the other format. Very unusual layouts — custom fonts not available in-browser, complex manual multi-column layouts — may render slightly differently, but the overall design and structure carry over for most documents.
What's next
Quikbench is actively being expanded with more tools and improvements over time. If there's a specific conversion you'd like to see supported — including richer, layout-preserving Word/PDF conversion — feel free to reach out using the contact details below.
