What is a quotation?
A quotation (or estimate) tells a customer what you will charge before they buy: the items, quantities, prices, taxes and how long the price is valid. When they accept, you raise a tax invoice with the same items — use our GST Invoice Generator.
Should a quotation include GST?
Yes, it's best to show GST separately so the customer knows the final price. If you aren't GST-registered, leave your GSTIN empty and set items to 0%.
How long should a quotation be valid?
Commonly 7, 15 or 30 days. Set it in “Valid until” — it's printed on the quotation.
Are my details saved?
If “Remember my business details” is ticked, your business details, logo and the next quotation number are saved in this browser only.
