Frequently asked questions
Why are exam photos rejected?
The most common reasons are a wrong file size (KB) or dimensions, a blurry or dark photo, a busy or coloured background, a black-and-white photo, and a signature that is too light, cut off or written in capital letters. This checker looks for all of these except the capital letters, which you should check yourself.
Are the sizes up to date?
They come from each exam's latest notification (checked October 2026). Notifications sometimes change — if yours gives different numbers, use the exam's own resizer, where you can type them in.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is checked and resized in your browser; your pictures never leave your phone or computer.
Does a green tick guarantee my form is accepted?
It means your files meet the size rules and have none of the common problems we can detect. The exam body makes the final decision, so also follow any extra rules in your notification (for example name and date on the photo).
My background isn't plain — what can I do?
Take the photo again in front of a plain light wall, or use our AI Background Remover to make it white, then check it here again.
