Frequently asked questions

How do I take a good photo of my signature?

Sign with a black or dark blue pen on plain white paper. Take the photo in daylight, straight from above, with the signature filling most of the frame. Shadows and slightly grey paper are fine — the tool cleans them up.

What size and KB should I use?

Use exactly what your form's notification says — every exam and recruitment form is different. Common examples are 140 × 60 pixels at 10–20 KB, or 3.5 × 1.5 cm at 10–20 KB. Type the numbers in and the tool makes a file that fits both.

The form rejected my file for being too small. Why?

Some forms set a minimum size, such as 10 KB. A clean signature can compress to just 3–4 KB, so we add invisible padding inside the JPG file to reach the minimum without changing the picture.

What is the transparent PNG for?

It has no background, so it can be placed on top of documents in Word, Google Docs, Canva or PDF editors without a white box around it. For exam and job forms, use the White (JPG) option instead.

What is 'Photo + signature'?

Some forms ask for your photo and signature together in one image, with the signature under the photo. Add both pictures, enter the size and KB range, and download one joined JPG.

Is my signature uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser, on your device. Your signature never reaches our server.

Make your signature form-ready in seconds

Online exam, bank and job applications reject signatures that are the wrong size, too dark, too faint or on grey paper. This tool fixes all of that: it finds your signature in the photo, crops to it, turns the paper pure white, makes the ink crisp, and saves it at the exact pixels and KB range you type in.

How to use it

  • Sign on white paper and take a photo with your phone.
  • Choose the photo, pick the ink colour, and enter the size from your form.
  • Check the preview and download. The file name ends in “-signature.jpg”, ready to upload.
