Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes, for statements downloaded from net banking or your bank's app — there's no limit. Scanned statements (photos or scans of printed pages) can be read with AI for 1 credit per page; everyone gets free AI credits each day.
Is my bank statement uploaded?
No. Statements downloaded from net banking are read entirely in your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to our server. Only if you choose AI reading for a scanned statement are its pages sent to our AI provider, and they're deleted straight after.
My statement asks for a password — what is it?
Banks protect statement PDFs with a password they tell you in the email. It's often your customer ID, your date of birth (DDMMYYYY), or the first four letters of your name followed by your date of birth. The password is used only on your device to open the file.
Which banks are supported?
It reads the transactions table by its column headings, so it works with most banks — SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Kotak, PNB, Bank of Baroda, Canara, IDFC First, Yes Bank, IndusInd, Federal and others — including statements with one Amount column marked Dr/Cr.
How do I know the conversion is right?
Every row is checked: the previous balance minus the debit plus the credit must equal the balance shown. You'll see how many rows were checked, and any row that doesn't add up is highlighted so you can compare it with the PDF.
Will Excel treat the numbers as numbers?
Yes. Dates are real Excel dates and amounts are numbers, so you can sort, filter, total or make a pivot table straight away. A totals row is added at the bottom.
Can I convert a credit card statement?
Credit card statements use a different layout and aren't supported yet.
