Frequently asked questions
What are backend search terms?
Hidden keywords you add in Seller Central (Keywords → Search terms). Shoppers don't see them, but Amazon uses them to match your product to searches.
What's the limit?
Under 250 bytes for the whole field. Go over and Amazon may ignore every word. English letters and spaces are 1 byte; Hindi and other Indian scripts are 3 bytes per letter.
Should I use commas?
No — separate words with single spaces. Commas and punctuation waste bytes, and word order doesn't matter.
What should I put in?
Synonyms, spelling variants, Hindi and Hinglish words shoppers use (haar, mala, jhumka), uses and occasions. Leave out brand names, words already in your title, and claims like “best” or “sale”.
Every byte counts
Amazon gives you less than 250 bytes of hidden keywords per product. Repeating title words, adding commas or listing competitor brands wastes that space — or breaks the rules. Paste everything you can think of and this tool keeps the words that matter, in the space you have.
