Privacy Policy

Quikbench ("we", "us") converts and processes files for people who use quikbench.com (the "Service"). This page explains what we collect, what we don't, and how each part of the Service handles your files.
The short version
- Using Quikbench without an account: your files never leave your device. All conversion happens locally in your browser.
- Using a Pro feature that needs server processing (batch jobs, harder formats, real PDF compression): your file is uploaded temporarily, processed, and deleted immediately afterward. We don't keep copies.
- We collect an email and password if you create an account, and basic payment confirmation if you buy Pro. We don't sell your data to anyone.
Files you convert
Free tier, browser-based conversion: the vast majority of tools on Quikbench (image conversion, audio conversion, merging/splitting/rearranging PDFs, protecting/unlocking PDFs, and more) run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your file is never transmitted to our servers. We have no way to see, log, or store these files, because they never leave your device.
Pro tier, server-side processing: some features genuinely require server-side processing — batch conversion of multiple files at once, formats that browsers can't reliably handle (like HEIF or FLAC), and Pro-quality PDF compression. For these, your file is uploaded to our server, processed, and made available for you to download. Once your job is downloaded (or after 15 minutes if it's abandoned), the files and any temporary copies are permanently deleted from our server. We do not retain, back up, or inspect the contents of files you process this way beyond what's needed to complete your job.
Account information
If you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password in plain text). We use this to let you sign in, track your Pro subscription status, and send you account-related emails.
Payment information
Payments for Pro are processed by Razorpay. We do not receive or store your full card, UPI, or bank details — Razorpay handles that directly and shares with us only the confirmation needed to activate your Pro access.
Emails we send
We use Resend to deliver transactional emails: a welcome email when you sign up, a password reset code if you request one, and a receipt when you purchase Pro. We don't send marketing emails you haven't asked for, and we don't share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in (storing a session token) — this is not a tracking cookie and isn't shared with third parties. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Bot protection
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated abuse of sign-up, sign-in, and password reset. Turnstile may process some technical information about your browser to verify you're a real person; see Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time from your account page — this permanently removes your account, email, and password from our systems. If you have questions about your data or want help with a request we haven't automated yet, contact us and we'll help directly.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and adjust the "last updated" date above.
