Frequently asked questions

Will the Word file look exactly like my PDF?

With “Editable text”, the words, headings and paragraphs come across but the layout is simplified so it's easy to edit. With “Exact look”, every page looks identical to the PDF, but as a picture you can't edit.

Why is my Word file empty?

The PDF is probably a scan — a picture of a page with no text inside. Use OCR PDF to make the text readable first, then convert.

Does it work with Hindi or other languages?

Yes, if the PDF contains real text in that language. Some older Indian-language PDFs use legacy fonts like Kruti Dev — their text may come out garbled; convert it with Kruti Dev to Unicode.

Is there a page limit?

No fixed limit. Long PDFs take a little longer because everything runs on your device.

How to convert a PDF to Word

  1. Select or drop your PDF. A preview shows the text that will go into Word.
  2. Choose Editable text to edit the words, or Exact look for a copy that looks identical to the PDF.
  3. Press Convert to Word and open the .docx in Microsoft Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice.

What converts well — and what doesn't

  • Works well: letters, reports, notes, résumés and articles made on a computer. Headings, paragraphs and bullet points come across as real Word text.
  • Simplified: multi-column layouts, text boxes and exact fonts. Tables come across as tab-separated lines — for real spreadsheet tables use PDF to Excel.
  • Scanned PDFs have no text inside, only pictures of pages. Use OCR PDF first, or choose Exact look.

Is it private?

The conversion happens in your browser. Your PDF and the Word file never leave your device.
