Frequently asked questions

What are meta tags?

Small pieces of code in a page's <head> that tell Google and social apps what the page is: the title and description shown in search results, and the title, description and image shown when the link is shared.

How long should my title and description be?

Keep titles under about 60 characters and descriptions between 120 and 160, or Google will cut them off with '…'. Put the most important words first.

Where do I paste the tags?

Inside the <head> section of your page. On Shopify, WordPress (Yoast/Rank Math), Wix and most builders, you don't paste code — just copy the title and description into the page's SEO settings.

Why doesn't Google show my description?

Google sometimes rewrites descriptions to match a search better. A clear, specific description that matches the page gives it the best chance of being used.
