Frequently asked questions
How big can the result be?
Up to 8K — 7680×4320 pixels. 2× doubles the width and height of your video and 4× makes it four times bigger, so a 1080p video becomes 4K at 2× or 8K at 4×, and a 4K video becomes 8K at 2×. Sizes that would go past 8K are shown as not possible.
How much does it cost?
18 credits for every second of video, the same for 2× or 4× — for example 180 credits for a 10-second clip. The exact price is shown after you upload, before anything is charged, and failed upscales are refunded automatically.
Which videos can I upscale?
MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI and GIF videos up to 60 seconds long and 300 MB, using the common H.264, H.265 (HEVC), VP9 or AV1 formats — which covers videos from phones, cameras and most editing apps. Phone videos filmed upright are handled the right way up.
Is the sound kept?
Yes. The sound, frame rate and shape of your video stay exactly as they were; only the resolution and detail change.
Which format should I choose?
MP4 with H.264 plays on every device and in every app, so it's the safe choice. H.265 makes a noticeably smaller file at the same quality and plays on newer phones, Macs and TVs.
Why doesn't the 8K preview play smoothly?
Many browsers and computers can't play 8K video smoothly. That doesn't affect the file: download it and play it in your video app, or on a 4K or 8K screen, to see the full quality.
How long does it take?
Usually a few minutes, longer for long clips at 8K. Keep the page open while it works. The finished file can be downloaded for one hour.
Do you keep my video?
No. Your video is sent to the upscaling model only to make your result, through a private link that works only while your job runs, and the finished file is deleted from our server after an hour. See our Privacy Policy.
