Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. The details are stored inside the code itself, not behind a link on our server, so the code keeps working forever — even if Quikbench went away. That's also why you can't change where a printed code points: make a new one instead.

Is the UPI QR code safe? Does the money go through Quikbench?

The money goes straight from the payer's UPI app to your bank account. The QR code only contains your UPI ID, name and (optionally) the amount; Quikbench never sees or handles payments, and nothing you type leaves your browser.

Which apps can pay my UPI QR code?

Any UPI app: Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay and banks' own apps. Leave the amount empty for a counter code where the customer types the amount, or fill it in for a fixed bill.

Where do I find my UPI ID?

Open your UPI app and look in your profile or 'UPI ID' section. It looks like name@bank, for example 9876543210@ybl or yourshop@okhdfcbank. Business accounts from your bank work too.

Can I add my logo?

Yes. Tap 'Add a logo in the middle'. We switch the code to its highest error correction so the logo can cover the centre, and we test-scan the result automatically. If it says the design is hard to scan, use a smaller or simpler logo.

PNG or SVG — which should I download?

PNG works everywhere: WhatsApp, Instagram, Word and most printing. SVG stays perfectly sharp at any size, which printers and designers prefer for banners, standees and packaging.

How big should I print a QR code?

At least 2 × 2 cm for a phone held close, like on a product label. As a rule of thumb, make it about one tenth of the scanning distance: 10 cm wide for a poster read from a metre away. Always do a test scan before printing many copies.

QR codes that work for your business

A QR code is a quick way to send someone to your shop, menu, payment or Wi-Fi without typing. Pick what it should do above, fill in the details and download. Everything is made in your browser, so private details such as your Wi-Fi password never leave your device.

UPI payment QR for shops and freelancers

Choose UPI payment, enter your UPI ID and the name customers should see, then download the payment card: a ready-to-print A6 card with your name, the QR code and your UPI ID. Leave the amount empty for a counter code, or fill it in to send a fixed bill on WhatsApp.

Tips for codes that always scan

  • Keep a dark code on a light background — light codes on dark backgrounds fail on many phones.
  • Leave the white border (quiet zone) around the code.
  • Shorter content makes a simpler, easier-to-scan code. For long pages, use a short link.
  • Test-scan before printing. We check every design automatically, but your printer and paper matter too.
